What do I need
to get started?
You simply need to fill out an application form
(online or call 0800 458 0623 to receive one in the post) and a starter pack
will be sent to you within 7 working days. Thereafter, we will make a mentor
available to you and invite you to attend training at the Company's College of
Excellence. [top]
What do I get in the
starter pack?
In the starter pack you receive all the business
materials and training manuals you need to get your business going. Whilst it
can be a little daunting at first with all the information that suddenly comes
your way there is plenty of help at hand.
Included in your starter pack
are training manuals and business presentation folders, DVD's, service
brochures, multi-service customer application forms and business applications
forms (for team building).
For Independent Distributors, this starter
pack costs £199.75 and comes with a 90 day money back guarantee (less a
small handling fee for any materials used). [top]
I already know of a
Distributor in my area - won't we overlap?
There are no
exclusive territories and there is plenty of room for everyone.
Strange
as it seems to us, the majority of people are not actually interested enough to
escape the 9-5 rat race. Statistically only 5% of the population ever achieve
complete financial freedom - and 95% of people will just carry on living month
by month to retirement hoping the State will provide for them during their old
age. Sadly, all the indications are that they will have a very unhappy time in
retirement as the Government is already warning people they need to make for
other arrangements.
The vast majority of Telecom plus
distributors only work at their business part-time. There are nearly 300,000
customers at the moment, so that means over 99% of the houses in your street
are potential customers as yet untapped by other Distributors. Because there
are no designated territories, you are free to build your business and gather
customers anywhere in the UK. [top]
Isn't it pyramid
selling?
No. Network Marketing is a legal and
regulated form of marketing - it is even taught in American Universities as one
of the most effective forms of marketing. Pyramid selling is illegal and
involves signing other people up and being paid a proportion of their sign up
fee. With this business you do not get paid a penny when other distributors
join. You only get paid for the services used by your customers.
Telecom
plus Plc is listed on the London Stock Market as a FTSE 250 compny and
is subject to all the financial rigours demanded for a publicly listed company.
Everything is entirely open to public scrutiny. [top]
Do I have to
introduce people to make money?
No - many Telecom plus /
Utility Warehouse Executives make a good income purely from generating
customers. In time you can further increase your income by building a team -
if you wish. [top]
Are there any
minimum requirements?
There are no minimum requirements to earn in
income as you will be paid a commission for every single customer you
introduce. However, to maintain the monthly residual income from customer
spend, you need to have at least six personally introduced active customers.
Once this is achieved you will receive a monthly income for as long as they use
the services. [top]
How much can I
realistically earn?
Your income will be proportional to the
effort you put into your business. Earnings of £500 to £2,000 per
month are common place, whilst there are already a significant number of
Executives enjoying much higher incomes. Your income will be directly
proportional to your efforts. [top]
How many hours per
week do I need to work?
Almost everyone who starts in this business
starts part-time. Whether you can dedicate an hour a week, an hour a day, or
more than this - you have the potential to yield a significant income. The key
with The Utility Warehouse, as it is with any network marketing business, is to
be consistent and build for the long-term. [top]
Can I take a break
and not lose my income?
You can take a break for as long or as
short as you like, and indeed many people do. If your personal circumstances
change your business is not at risk, although is is advisable to be fully
conversant with the constraints of the Company's compensation plan as in some
cases, income can be lost during periods of inactivity. [top]
Will the market
saturate?
The UK utility market is estimated to be growing at
approximately 10% per year, and the residential telephone market alone is
growing at an estimated rate of 500,000 new customers per year. The total
telephony market alone in the UK is estimated to be worth around £20
billion. With the Company's current market share, market saturation is
virtually impossible. [top]
Do I have to
sell?
This business can work for you whether you do or don't like
selling. We actually give-away free, no minimum-contract services which save
our customers money on services that they already use.
For those who
like the thrill of gathering personal customers, you can build a solid residual
income via this avenue alone, whereas the non-sales types can generate an
income by following non-confrontational methods to attract customers and build
a team of other Utility Warehouse distributors. [top]
Do I have to buy
stock?
With the Utility Warehouse and the services that they offer,
there can be no 'front-loading' and there is no requirement to buy or carry any
stock whatsoever.
Head Office complete the order processing and send
any goods or equipment direct to your customer. Head Office also bill the
customer, collect the money and pay you your commission straight into your bank
account, every month. You don't have to do anything else! No credit card
processing and no delivery rounds! [top]
Can I advertise
the services?
Subject to a few basic guidelines, yes you can
advertise. A comprehensive range of advertising and marketing materials is
provided (downloadable online or available direct from Head Office) so you do
not need to create your own advertising work. The company and our team members
can give advice on what works and what doesn't work and if you want to create
your own advertising, just run it past the Marketing Department to ensure it
keeps both you and the company clear of any potential problems. [top]
Are the services
really any good?
The services offered are regularly winning
favourable comments in the consumer magazines, trade magazines and financial
press. The Company has an enormous advantage compared to all competitors -
absolutely no advertising costs, thus huge savings to customers making
the products enormously attractive whilst still paying great distributor
commissions. The average household can save around £855 per year by using
Utility Warehouse services. [top]
