Warehouse success > I had no real
idea about Referral Marketing
I had no real idea about
Referral Marketing
I live in Sussex and was in the rat-race
for the first half of my working life. I have a sales and engineering
background, was successful and earning good money. I regularly used to drive
40-50,000 business miles a year, staying nights away and enjoying little
personal or social life.
In 2003 I had the opportunity to leave the
rat-race and spend more time at home. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do but I
knew I wanted to work from home. I had one false start but then almost by
accident, I came across Telecom plus.
I had no real idea what
Referral Marketing was, or what was involved in becoming successful in network
marketing, but as with anything I set my mind too, I threw myself into it with
a huge amount of energy and enthusiasm.
I had a full-time self-employed
job when I started, which meant I could initially only spare a few hours a
week, but I found it really easy to encourage my warm market to try the
services and save money. With determination I received around £1,000 in
bonuses in the first two months.

My best option was to take up
my Telecom plus business full-time
Unfortunately (as a result of an argument
with four speed cameras) I was unable to drive for 6 months. This forced me to
focus on my Telecom plus business. So I resorted to the push-bike to
gather some local customers and the results persuaded me that my best option
was to take up my Telecom plus business full-time.
I set up my
Command and Control Centre at home where I developed my sponsoring skills. I
was then fortunate (and you have to make your own luck) in being able to
encourage some extremely talented people to join this great business and things
started to grow quickly. I now concentrate primarily on introducing the
business to other entrepreneurial people and if they decide to join us then I
take great satisfaction in showing them how to gather some customers quickly
and introduce some of their warm market to this great business
opportunity.
Success with Telecom plus revolves around creating
Independent Senior Executives (SE's) who are the cornerstone of the network.
For any new people in this great business I would encourage them to work with
their sponsor and up-line Independent Senior Group Leader to get themselves to
SE as soon as possible. Leaders in the business want new people, who are
determined to succeed and they do this by asking and then continue to ask for
support and input. The task is then to help the enthusiastic members of the
team to get there as well. To achieve Independent Senior Group Leader, all you
have to do is help 16 Distributors in your team to reach SE, in the right
locations for the MD structure, and the necessary customer numbers should
follow. I found it much easier and less of a massive mountain to climb when I
focussed on helping to build SE legs than considering reaching MD as a whole.
With determination, anyone can definitely get to MD, like I have done, by
helping others to do the same.
The fastest ever to
Independent Senior Group Leader
I have made some great friends in Telecom
plus in a relatively short period and I would particularly wish to thank
Steve Critchley for his
help and guidance in becoming what I am advised is the fastest ever MD in the
company.
One golden secret I have learnt for success in Telecom
plus is to never give up. You have got to be in it to win it. We are
involved in a successful company that has barely started. Ignore 'Neg Ferrets'
like the plague, always focus on the positive side of things and you will get
there in the end.
I am confident that I can build complete financial
freedom in the future and I am supported in this by my partner Kate. Some
people have suggested that I would go to any length to sponsor another
Distributor but there is no truth in that whatsoever!
