I am sometimes asked what it takes to succeed in
Telecom plus . A difficult question to answer, as for my first four years in Telecom
plus I did nothing. That's one of the strange characteristics of this business, in that we offer the opportunity to others and one can never predict the outcome. One thing you will pick-up from all for these and other successful ID's is their commitment and belief. I have no doubt that such attitudes could be found in these people as much when they had just reached SE as when they were first promoted to MD. They also started with zero customers, zero distributors and no doubt, had their fair share of setbacks along the way.
So, whilst I cannot tell you how to reach MD, I can tell you about my last 12 months of committed, but nevertheless, part-time effort. Firstly, let me share with you very openly my results. Just over 12 months ago, my team amounted to about five active distributors. I had 10 personal customers and 244 group customers. After 12 months of consistent effort, re-learning everything, attending all the COE again, attending at least 1 COP every month and ensuring that I talk with Wes Linden & other Leaders as often as possible, results are as follows: 200 Distributors, 38 personal customers, 1000+ group customers, a free Mini One, Share Options in the bag and a very healthy residual income every month.
This business is not a Get Rich scheme, but I can personally testify to the fact that if you learn the business, apply yourself, goal-set, listen to advice and put consistent effort in - the results will speak for themselves. I can also guarantee that you will have some set-backs and tests of character along the way. The lights are never 100% on green!
Continuing at the same rate, I expect to have totally replaced a job income with Residual Income inside another 24 months and there is a massive difference between the two - Residual Income = Security & Freedom, whilst Job Income = Owned by the boss, little freedom and questions regarding long-term security!
So if you look at the facts, it is entirely possible to create residual security within five years via part-time effort and the loss of some TV time! Where will you be in five years time? A clue is where you were five years ago, if nothing has changed. It's just a choice.
Most people spend more time planing Christmas and their next holiday than they do planning their lives, wealth and retirement. Most people spend more time watching television than they do building their futures. Most people are broke! And as the old saying goes..."The definition of insanity is to continue with the same actions and to expect different results" or one that I really like..."If you want to change some things in your life, you must be prepared to change some things in your life!"
I am delighted with the outcome of 12 months consistent effort in Telecom plus and in this relatively short amount of time, can already see the fruits of my labor. No matter where you are right now with your Telecom plus business, your results in 12, 24, 36 months rest firmly in your hands.
